Gold Recordings is a full service-recording studio, which boasts a Pro Tools HD II Accel system, 16 simultaneous inputs, and eight outputs. We are a three-room facility with a 192 KHz sample rate D/A and A/D converters for all channels in and out. The "live" room is tiled, with very high, uneven ceilings, which has eight inputs coming up through the floor, and it’s a nice sounding bright room. We also have “The Dead Room” which has another eight inputs coming up through the floor, a piano, and padded lockers with dozens of microphones, cables, and other necessary gear for the studio. We also have re-amping abilities for those who want to use live amplification and wish to change their tones and then wish to mix and match them. We have recorded everything from full orchestras here to single persons. The acoustics are fabulous and this room also has high, uneven ceilings, which make for great sound and with no reflection problems.
The whole studio was designed by an engineer from Sony Audio and the whole studio sounds great counting the third room, the control booth which boasts a custom built Honduran Mahogany Rack Desk, with TTY patch bay, several (over 30) preamps, a Control 24 automated console, and some high end mastering outboard gear. We also have over 100 plug-ins of all types to enhance, edit, create; tune, and time adjust, along with several virtual instruments.
Gold Publishing is a sister company which is available to anyone who wants to get their music published. Fees for this vary, depending on what the artist has and wants. We take on the risk and cost of making the publishing happen, and you get the credit for copyrights, along with possible points on publishing depending again, on the level of risk we take and the quality and salability of each client’s project. We offer advice on copyrights as well. We do charge for publishing agreements that involve the client receiving points on their music. The charges vary depending on the percentage of publishing points a person wants, and the quality of the individual’s work. An agreement will be arrived at regarding percentages and fees after this is discussed.
